Applied behavior therapy and play therapy are both used with kids. The treatment consists of showing children different methods of responding more positively to situations. A key component of this therapy is rewarding positive behavior instead of punishing. Caregivers are taught how to reinforce this in the child’s daily life.
Kids are observed while playing, when they can show their current social and emotional feelings. They choose their own toys and play freely and might be asked to draw a picture or create scenes in a sandbox with objects. By observing children at play, therapists are able to gain insight into what they are unable to express or makes them uncomfortable. The specialists can also advise parents how to use play to improve communication with their little ones.

Prior to your Video Consultation, your assigned therapist or screener will review your Patient Intake Form and know your main concerns. During the video consultation, the therapist or screener will answer your questions and will present you with the most suitable therapeutic and treatment options for your needs.
Whenever the patient does not have sufficient autonomy or mastery of technology to participate in an online meeting, the presence of a caregiver or family member during the consultation will be necessary.
Relatives and other health professionals who wish to participate in the consultation remotely may do so if they have previously been registered in the Patient Intake Form.
