KShield Educational Journey brings together innovative online services, certified programs and evidence-based best practices. A comprehensive, integrated program to assess and support children’s learning progress from birth to early school years.
It is a fluid process and begins in early years with physical milestone components such as Sitting up, Crawling, Walking, Holding a crayon and follows the path to primary school where areas to be addressed could be speaking their first word, learning how to play while also increasing pre literacy skills.
Early Intervention is key as part of the KShield Educational Journey.
The importance of monitoring a child starts at birth and is a constant. Knowing what a child needs in all developmental areas is where AC&A Educational and Therapy Services is a leader in the industry. We look at the child as a “whole” while utilizing best practice and evidence-based measurements to achieve success on a variety of web-based platforms.
For children in the literacy stage, KShield cohesively streamlines an RtI-optimized version for Private Schools.
KShield Educational Journey is purposefully modeled after the Response to Intervention (RtI), a multi-layered approach to support early identification of students with learning needs. This approach is used nationwide in the Public-School sector to deliver interventions at increasing levels of intensity and accelerate student’s rate of learning.
Using progress monitoring through data collection to the same standards as RtI, KShield Educational Journey enables teachers in Private Schools to provide students intensive reading interventions and strengthen areas that were previously identified as areas of concern during developmental and educational intervention screenings.
Through the implementation of the KShield Educational Journey, Private Schools also have an efficient and well-structured system to provide parents with information about their children’s progress, instructions and interventions used.
